Satechi Studio Display + Mac Studio Setup
Apple recently added two new products to its Mac lineup that turn your average desktop into a powerhouse for creativity. The Mac Studio and Apple Studio Display each come with their own impressive features that perfectly complement one another.
Mac Studio takes on the performance side of things with M1 Max and the new M1 Ultra while Studio Display boasts the visual aspects with an immersive 27-inch 5K Retina screen, Spatial Audio, an advanced camera, and more.
According to a press release from Apple, these “give users everything they need to build the studio of their dreams.” However, we beg to differ. Your new studio isn’t complete without a few Satechi products to further your setup dreams.
Read on to find out which Satechi accessories you need to complete your Studio Display + Mac Studio Setup.
Stand & Hub for Mac mini with SSD Enclosure
First, you are going to need the Satechi Stand & Hub for Mac mini with SSD Enclosure to elevate and transform your Mac Studio to new heights (literally). Although this stand/hub was originally designed for the Mac mini, after extensive testing, we are happy to confirm that it is compatible with the new Mac Studio.
It will expand your workspace, providing you with a USB-C data port (up to 5 Gbps), three USB-A data ports (up to 5 Gbps), micro/SD card reader slots, and a 3.5mm headphone jack port. Plus, the internal SSD enclosure provides convenient access to all your USB peripherals.
Note: It does not include an SSD drive and the SSD enclosure only fits M.2 SATA SSD drives (does not work with NVMe).
If you want to streamline your workflow more, we suggest also adding the Satechi USB-C Clamp Hub for 24-inch iMac to your Studio Display. This hub features a USB-C data port, three USB-A 3.0 data ports, and micro/SD card readers. Of course, it also has our signature sleek aluminum design and modern aesthetic.
Installing the hub is simple and requires no extra tools. Just fasten it onto the bottom of your Studio Display with the adjustable knob, then plug it into one of the USB-C ports on the backside. Once installed, your most frequently used ports will be easily accessible while looking stylish.
Silver Aluminum Bluetooth Keyboard
Having a nice, sleek keyboard in your setup is a must. Typing feels more effortless than ever with our Aluminum Bluetooth Keyboard thanks to its enhanced scissor-switch keys and extended layout. The silver color will be the perfect addition to this top-of-the-line, modern setup.
Other perks:
- Designated keys to easily assign up to three Bluetooth devices
- Rechargeable USB-C Port
By now, you can probably tell that we are sticking to a silver aesthetic for this dreamy setup. The Satechi Silver M1 Wireless Mouse is the perfect sleek addition to your new creative studio. It features Bluetooth 4.0 connection, a rechargeable Type-C port, and our signature sleek look. Optical sensors allow for precise tracking and fast scrolling, so you will always be on your game.
Blue/Green Dual-Sided Eco Leather Deskmate
Now for the finishing touch—the Satechi Dual-Sided Eco Leather Deskmate. It comes in three color variations: Blue & Green, Pink & Purple, and Yellow & Orange. For this particular setup, we are going with the Blue & Green option. Of course, if you aren’t a fan of color, you can opt for our Black Eco-Leather Deskmate.
This desk mat is made of quality Polyurethane (PU) leather making it smooth and satisfying to glide your mouse across. Its durable and water-resistant design makes cleaning up easy.

I just recieved my brand new Mac studio M2 2023.
You have a brilliant product – the Satechi Stand & Hub for Mac with SSD Enclosure, that seems to work with the Mac studio M1.
Will it also work with the Mac studio M2 ?
If so, where to buy in Denmark ?

I was excited to see the stylish Stand and hub for Mac Mini with SSD enclosure. I am planning to get a Mac Studio soon and it seems like a good way to extend both the number of connections and the amount of primary storage.
But, I was disappointed to see that the quoted data transfer rates are so low at 5 Gb per second and that the SSD is limited to SATA rather than the higher performing Nvme. I do concede that there is no need for a high performance SSD if the USB C rate is limited to 5 Gb/s, but don’t understand why you would put such a limit on data transfer rate when your product is designed to connect to a Mac Mini that has high speed Thunderbolt outlets.
I also have a suggestion that is relevant to photographers who are buying current Canon and Nikon cameras that use XQD/CFExpress type B cards. Apple has re-introduced SD card slots into their laptops and the Mac Mini/Studio but the larger and faster XQD/CFE card slot has been overlooked.
I would be seriously interested in a hub that had the data transfer rate available from the Mac Mini/Studio, a matching M2 card slot and a XQD/CFE card slot. I would pay a lot more for it, especially if I could put in a 4 or 8 TB M2 card.
Cheers
Rob
When will the Stand & Hub for Mac Studio with SSD Enclosure be released, and where (Switzerland) can I buy one?

I cannot get my satechi keyboard to work with brightness for the Studio Display, is there any way to enable it?
